Shipper – What Is It?
A Shipper is like the owner of a package being sent—it’s the person or company that needs a vehicle transported. The shipper could be an individual moving to a new state, a dealership sending cars, or a business relocating a fleet.
Think of it as ordering a ride for your car—instead of driving it yourself, you arrange for a carrier to pick it up and deliver it to its destination.
Example:
Sarah is moving from New York to Texas for a new job. Since she doesn’t want to drive across the country, she hires a carrier to transport her car, making her the shipper in the process.
